In terms of its physical characteristics, the cap of the Psilocybe Argentina mushroom ranges from 2 to 8 centimetres in diameter and exhibits a convex shape when young, gradually flattening with age. The colour of the cap is usually light brown to caramel, and its surface may have some pronounced striations, especially towards the edges. As the Psilocybe Argentina mushrooms mature, theire caps can become a paler shade.
The gills of the Psilocybe Argentina Cubensis are closely spaced and possess an adnate attachment to the stem. They are initially a pale greyish colour but eventually darken to a purplish-brown as the spores develop. Psilocybe Argentina spores are dark purplish producing black spore prints, which serve an important characteristic for identification.
Psilocybe Argentina mushrooms often grow in warm, humid environments, favouring regions with a significant amount of rainfall and a substrate rich in decaying organic matter.
