Overview

PF Tek has been around for decades as a trusted solution for mushroom growers — particularly first-time growers. It continues to be one of the most effective techniques, used in a variety of ways, whether dunking and rolling or to bulk colonise substrate for larger tub grows.

Why it Works

These BRF pots (565ml) come with a lid that has a built-in wide 5-micron filter for high gas exchange & four sealed injection ports. Each pot includes a top layer of vermiculite to help further prevent unwanted contaminants. The kit is compact and requires very little space, making it ideal for indoor use.

Our extensive testing has concluded that four ports significantly decrease colonisation time so you can start growing those mushrooms faster than ever!

What is PF Tek?

PF Tek stands for Psilocybe Fanaticus Technique. It’s a beginner-friendly mushroom growing method that uses a special nutrient mix inside sterilised pots.

Do I need spores?

Yes, you’ll need gourmet mushroom spores or liquid culture that will need to be purchased separately.

Can I reuse pots?

Yes, the substrate is single-use, but the autoclavable pots can be reused. We now offer refill kits so you can keep using your existing pots without needing to buy a full kit again.

How do I know when it's ready to fruit?

When the pot turns fully white with mycelium, it’s ready. But we provide full instructions to ensure you know exactly what to do and when. No guesswork — promise!

Why don't we accept card payments? Unfortunately despite progress, the industry is still heavily stigmatised (from banks) which means that even payment gateways such as PayPal don't provide a service for any spore provider based in the UK (also the reason that you cannot buy these spores on the high street).
