PF Tek has been around for decades as a trusted solution for mushroom growers. It continues to be one of the most effective techniques, used in a variety of ways, whether dunking and rolling or to bulk colonise substrate for larger tub grows.

These BRF pots (565ml) come with a lid that has a built-in wide 5-micron filter for high gas exchange & four sealed injection ports. Each pot includes a top layer of vermiculite to help further prevent unwanted contaminants. The kit is compact and requires very little space, making it ideal for indoor use.
Our extensive testing has concluded that four ports significantly decrease colonisation time so you can start growing those mushrooms faster than ever!

- What is PF Tek?
PF Tek stands for Psilocybe Fanaticus Technique. It’s a beginner-friendly mushroom growing method that uses a special nutrient mix inside sterilised pots.
- Do I need spores?
Yes, you’ll need gourmet mushroom spores or liquid culture that will need to be purchased separately.
- How long does it take??
Usually 4–8 weeks from start to harvest.
- How much will it grow?
Each pot can produce several harvests, depending on conditions.
- Can I reuse the pots?
Yes, the substrate is single-use, but the autoclavable pots can be reused. We’ll soon be offering refill kits so you can keep using your existing pots without needing to buy a full kit again.
- How do I know it’s ready to fruit?
When the pot turns fully white with mycelium, it’s ready. But we provide full instructions to ensure you know what to do and when.
- How should I store the kit before use?
Keep it in a cool, dry, dark place. Your gourmet spores or liquid culture should be refrigerated until use.
What Will I receive?
When will I receive my Grow Kit?
A Grow Kit takes 24 hours to prepare so orders completed before noon (on a UK working day) will be dispatched on the next working day, i.e. Mon-Fri & non-holidays (UK). Orders made after noon (again on a UK working day) will be dispatched the day after the next working day. Please allow 2-3 days delivery time from dispatch. Outside the UK, times can vary greatly - so it is better to order well in advance.
