Our APE Revert, a variant of Psilocybe cubensis, originates from the well-known and robust Albino Penis Envy strain, explaining the acronym "APE" (Albino Penis Envy). The term Revert signifies a return to an earlier phenotype in this strain.
The objective of reverting APE to a phenotype more akin to PE is thought to enhance potency and yield. However, this modification does impact other characteristics of the mushrooms. In contrast to Penis Envy or APE, APE Revert mushrooms do not exhibit the distinctive phallic shape or the pure whiteness associated with APE.
Most instances display a lighter colouration compared to regular mushrooms but still retain some pigmentation. APE Revert caps also appear broader and more convex. These APE-R spores are purple with subellipsoid shape.
