The Lizard King mushroom belongs to the family Strophariaceae. Its roots are in Mexico having been found growing on woodchip and horse dung and was believed to discovered by someone who used the name as an alias. The Lizard King strain is more versatile in many ways and can be harvested from different substrate types although it's less contamination resistent than Golden Teacher spores.
Lizard King mushrooms have a distinct appearance characterised by a bell-shaped cap, caramel-brown coloration and normally grows in clusters.

- Yes, it is legal to possess and sell Lizard King spores in the UK, but it is illegal to grow or consume them. Those outside the UK should be familiar with the legal status of magic mushroom spores for their jurisdiction - according to the intended purpose. Mycology is a rapidly growing activity.
- How long will these Lizard King spores last?
- Lizard King spores should be kept in a cool environment like the fridge (4-8°C is ideal). We recommend to use them within 6 months but it's not uncommon for them to last years.
What Will I receive?
When will I receive my Lizard King spores?
We'll prepare and dispatch your Lizard King spores on the same day for orders made before noon (UK time) on working days, i.e. Mon-Fri & non-holidays (UK), except where there are other non-spore items included in the order, e.g. substrate. In which case orders will be dispatched according to the item that takes longest to dispatch (see dispatch times for other item types included in the order). Otherwise, in the UK you could usually expect to receive your Lizard King spores within 2-3 days. Outside the UK times can vary greatly - so it is better to order well in advance.
