Golden Teacher mushrooms have been amongst the most popular strains of Psilocybe Cubensis since their purported discovery back in the 1980s. The Golden Teacher gets its name, in part, from the medium to large gold caps which form in large clusters and are widely recognised for their ability to resist contamination. 'Teacher' is a reference to the effects of the mushroom's psychoactive compound - psilocybin - which are widely attributed for imparting wisdom or insight.
While the specific origins of the Golden Teacher mushroom remain somewhat mysterious, their unique appearance, balanced effects, and cultural significance have made them a cult classic for microscopists of all abilities. Belonging to the Hymenogastraceae family, under the microscope; Golden Teacher spores are dark purple to brown with a subellipsoid shape.

- Yes, it is legal to possess and sell Golden Teacher spores in the UK, but it is illegal to grow or consume them. Those outside the UK should be familiar with the legal status of magic mushroom spores according to the intended purpose. Mycology is a rapidly growing activity.
- How long will these Golden Teacher spores last?
- Golden Teacher spores should be kept in a cool environment like the fridge (4-8°C is ideal). We recommend to use them within 6 months but it's not uncommon for them to last years.
What Will I receive?
When will I receive my Golden Teacher spores?
We'll prepare and dispatch your Golden Teacher spores on the same day for orders made before noon (UK time) on working days, i.e. Mon-Fri & non-holidays (UK), except where there are other non-spore items included in the order, e.g. substrate. In which case orders will be dispatched according to the item that takes longest to dispatch (see dispatch times for other item types included in the order). Otherwise, in the UK you could usually expect to receive your Golden Teacher spores within 2-3 days. Outside the UK times can vary greatly - so it is better to order well in advance.
