Product Description
This CVG (Coir, Vermiculite, and Gypsum) mixture is prepared to field capacity and available in various sizes for immediate use. Coir and vermiculite contribute to water retention and aeration, while the gypsum acts as a pH buffer and provides structural support for mycelial growth. It's already sterilised and suitable for using with your colonised grain spawn, perfect for anyone starting out on their mycological journey.
For tub cultivation, a substrate depth of 3–4 inches is recommended to maintain consistent growth conditions. If cultivating a species prone to blobbing or stalling, a higher substrate to grain spawn ratio may support more stable development.
* All of our CVG substrate is sterilised at 15 PSI for 3 hours.

- CVG Bulk Substrate will last approximately 3 months in a cool environment. We recommended to store it in the freezer and take it out a day before use.

- No - this substrate is already hydrated to field capacity. Field capacity relates to the relative moisture content of the soil required for the mushrooms fruiting bodies to harvest.
- How do I use this item?
- Mix it with a fully colonised mushroom media. We recommend at least an inch covering on top.
